Discover typical places and dishes from the Atlantic island

When you arrive at the airport in Funchal, our driver will take you to your hotel. Check-in and accommodation in Funchal.

After breakfast at the hotel, we head out to discover Funchal.

We’ll walk along one of the oldest streets full of art. Later, we’ll arrive at the famous Mercado dos Lavradores (Farmers’ Market), a place full of regional products. We continue to the Botanical Garden (entrance included), known for its wide variety of native species from all over the world. To complete our tour, we’ll stop at a Winery for a wine tasting.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the next destination. We’ll take you to Cabo Girão, famous for being one of the highest cliffs in the world, with an imperious height of 580 metres above the Atlantic Ocean. We will then drive to the Encumeada gorge. Then marvel at the imposing cliffs and waterfalls on the way to Porto Moniz, where there are incredible natural pools. Lunch included. We’ll return to Funchal through the mountains, crossing the Paul da Serra plain. Our last stop will be in the beautiful fishing village of Câmara de Lobos. Return to the hotel. Accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Pico do Arieiro, the third highest peak on the island. You will have free time to explore the area. Afterwards, we will head down and continue our journey passing through the Ribeiro Frio Natural Park, in the Laurissilva forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also visit Santana and its traditional houses. We will take a lunch break before continuing our tour.

In the afternoon, we will visit Ponta de São Lourenço and Machico. Finally, we return to the hotel. Accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. At 9am, we’ll set off for Pico dos Barcelos, with views of Funchal Bay and the mountains. Our next stop will be the village of Curral das Freiras (Nun’s Valley), considered the most isolated village on the island. Return to Funchal.

In the evening, dinner in a typical restaurant where you can try the tasty “espetada da Madeira” (grilled meat from Madeira), the famous “Bolo do Caco” (bread) with garlic butter and the crunchy fried corn. During dinner, there will be a “Bailinho” show (traditional dances and songs from Madeira).

At the end, we return to the hotel. Accommodation.

After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, transfer to the Funchal airport. End of our services.
