Discover the Azores islands: São Miguel, Terceira, Faial and Pico

Arrival at the airport. Departure for Ponta Delgada airport on the island of São Miguel. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free afternoon. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.

After breakfast, we’ll start our first full-day “All in One” tour of the island of São Miguel.

This circuit starts at the Vista do Rei viewpoint, where you can enjoy the fantastic view of the blue and green lagoons in Sete Cidades. Then we continue on to Lagoa do Fogo. A little further down, you’ll visit the Caldeira Velha Natural Monument (optional), where you can take an optional thermal bath in its warm waters.

Continuing the journey, you will visit the viewpoints of Santa Iria, Pico de Ferro and the tea plantations of Gorreana. The next stop will be the village of Furnas, where you will lunch the traditional “Cozido das Furnas”, a meal cooked naturally underground and heated by nature itself. After lunch, time to visit the fumaroles and boilers.

Returning to Ponta Delgada along the south coast, we’ll pass the town of Vila Franca and the Nossa Senhora da Paz Chapel, where you’ll also see the famous Vila Franca Islet. Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel and start of the full-day tour of Nordeste.

The day begins with a stop at Ribeira dos Caldeirões. Here you will be enchanted by a beautiful waterfall, traditional water mills and beautiful gardens.

Passing through the picturesque village of Nordeste towards the beautiful panoramic viewpoints of Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada, situated on the eastern tip of the island, you’ll see the famous Arnel lighthouse. We will continue to the town of Povoação, where we will have lunch.

In the afternoon, we will visit the historical centre of Povoação and its fishing port.

On the way back to Ponta Delgada, we’ll pass through the town of Furnas, where you can see its huge lagoon.

Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning. Transfer to Ponta Delgada airport at an agreed time and flight to the island of Terceira.

Transfer to the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.

After breakfast, we’ll start a full-day tour of Terceira Island.

On this tour you will make several stops at viewpoints such as Pico das Cruzinhas, Serretinha and the Serra do Facho. We will also pass through the historical centre of Angra do Heroísmo. Next, we’ll stop in the village of São Sebastião to visit one of the oldest churches on the island. Lunch stop at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to the interior of the island to visit Algar do Carvão (optional), one of the only volcanoes in the world that can be visited from the inside. We will also visit Furnas do Enxofre to observe the activity of a dormant volcano. Towards the north of the island, we will briefly stop in Biscoitos.

Finally, you can visit Lagoa das Patas, where you can walk around a beautiful lagoon, ending the tour with a tasting of cheeses and yoghurts produced on Terceira Island.

Return to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting at the marina of Angra for a 3 hour Whale and Dolphin Watching Tour.

You have the opportunity to observe around 27 species of whales and dolphins all year round in their natural habitat, always in the presence of a professional team of biologists and spotters.

Free time. In the evening, dinner and hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. At a mutually agreed time, transfer to the airport and flight to Faial. Transfer to the hotel and free time.

At 6pm, pick up at the hotel for a cultural tour of Faial, including a light meal. Return and accommodation at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning. At an agreed time, transfer to the marina to take a boat from Faial to the island of Pico. Arrive at Pico in the afternoon and rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. At 10am, pick up at the hotel for a full-day jeep tour of Pico Island. On this fantastic adventure through Pico Island, you’ll discover stunning natural landscapes such as Lagoa do Capitão, Lagoa do Caiado and Lagoa Seca, and visit the largest underground cave of volcanic origin, with incredible geological formations.

Highlights include the Prainha viewpoint, the Central Plateau and the Gruta das Torres. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
