Tour around the lagoons of São Miguel with visits included

The day begins with a visit to a traditional pineapple plantation, an organic crop grown in greenhouses, where you will be able to also taste its pineapple liqueur. The journey continues along the west coast of the island, stopping at the Pico do Carvão viewpoint to enjoy the beautiful view of the north and south coasts of the island.

Surrounded by green vegetation, we’ll find the Vista do Rei viewpoint, the Sete Cidades volcanic complex, where you can enjoy a superb view of the Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon) and the Lagoa Verde (Green Lagoon). As you go down into the crater, you can see another lagoon, the Santiago Lagoon. In the centre of Sete Cidades, you can visit the church of São Nicolau. Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, the excursion continues along the coast, enjoying the lush green landscape, passing through the Monasteries until we reach the Capelas site to stop and observe the north coast of the island. Continuing along the north coast, we’ll visit the historic centre of Ribeira Grande and also a regional liqueur shop. Heading towards Lagoa do Fogo, we’ll visit the Caldeira Velha nature park (optional), a nature reserve where you can take an optional thermal bath in a waterfall. We climb a little further and arrive at the fantastic Lagoa do Fogo, where you’ll marvel at the breathtaking views.

Returning to Ponta Delgada by Pico da Barrosa, you will once again have a fantastic view of the island. End of our services.
