Itinerary

  • DAY 1 LISBON (ARRIVAL)

    Upon arrival at the airport, our driver will give you a warm welcome and take you to your hotel. Check-in and accommodation in Lisbon.

  • DAY 2 LISBON

    Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a tour of Lisbon with our driver/guide. The first stop will be Belém, where you can admire the Belém Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Monument to the Discoveries. Visit (included) to the Jeronimos Monastery.

    The journey continues, now heading for St George’s Castle, with a view of the Tagus River. We will then go past Praça do Comércio, the city’s postcard, Praça do Rossio, Chiado and Liberdade Avenues and the picturesque Alfama neighbourhood, known as one of the birthplaces of Fado.

  • DAY 3 LISBON | TOMAR | FÁTIMA | COIMBRA

    Breakfast at the hotel. We set off for Tomar, a city linked to the Order of the Templars. We’ll start by visiting the historical centre and the Convent of Christ, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Entrance (included) to the convent.

    The next stop will be Fátima, where we will visit the Basílica of Nossa Senhora de Fátima and its Sanctuary, which receives millions of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. You can also visit the Capelinha das Aparições (Little Chapel of the Apparitions).

    Finally, the driver will take us to Coimbra, Portugal’s oldest university city. Stroll through the streets and along the banks of the River Mondego and discover all the secrets of this city. Visit (included) to the Cathedral of Coimbra.

  • DAY 4 AVEIRO | PORTO

    Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the city of Aveiro. Discover the city’s canals and the “Moliceiro” boats going thought them. In this city you’ll also find the Fish Market, the Convent of Jesus and the Costa Nova, known for its striped fishermen’s houses.

    Afterwards, transfer to the city of Porto.

    When we arrive, we’ll take a tour of the city’s most emblematic points, such as the historical centre, classified as a UNESCO Heritage Site, the Sé Cathedral, Praça da Ribeira, the Lello Bookshop, São Bento Station, Rua de Santa Catarina and the Luís I Bridge.

    We will also visit the interior of the Church of San Francisco, a National Monument.

    We’ll finish with a Port Wine tasting in one of Vila Nova de Gaia’s most famous cellars. Accommodation in Porto.

  • DAY 5 BRAGA | GUIMARÃES

    Breakfast and departure for the north, one of the greenest regions in the country.

    We will start in Braga, one of the country’s main religious centres, and visit the Bom Jesus Sanctuary, with its imposing staircase. We will visit Braga Cathedral (included), one of the city’s most important sites.

    After this visit, we will go to the city of Guimarães, known as the ” Cradle City of Portugal ” (the land where D. Afonso Henriques – First King of Portugal – was born).

    Finally, we return to Porto. Accommodation.

  • DAY 6 SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA (SPAIN) | VIANA DO CASTELO

    After breakfast, we set off for Santiago de Compostela in Spain. This city is the final destination of the famous medieval pilgrimage route called “Camiño de Santiago”.

    Particularly noteworthy is the historic centre, with its imposing cathedral and historic buildings all around.

    After a few hours in the city, we’ll head back to Portugal and visit Viana do Castelo. The first stop will be the Santuario de Santa Luzia, located on top of a hill.

    You will have some free time to walk around the historical centre before we return to Porto. Accommodation in Porto.

  • DAY 7 ALCOBAÇA | BATALHA | ÓBIDOS | LISBON

    After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, we’ll start the trip back to Lisbon, with a stop in Alcobaça, Batalha and Óbidos.

    One of the most important cathedrals in the Iberian Peninsula, the Monastery of Alcobaça, is located in Alcobaça. Visit to the monastery included.

    In the town of Batalha, we will visit the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória (Monastery of Batalha) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Finally, in Óbidos, a town surrounded by a wall on top of a hill, you can walk through its historical centre and admire the traditional white houses.

    Return to Lisbon and accommodation.

  • DAY 8 RETURN

    After breakfast at the hotel, our driver will take you to the airport. End of our services.
