Enjoy a 3-day private getaway to the Serra da Estrela full of adventure and authenticity: connect with the nature and culture of this unique region.
DAY 1 PORTO OR LISBON | COVILHÃ
The journey will start with a trip from Porto or Lisbon to Covilhã (by shared bus), where our tour will begin. When you arrive in the city of Covilhã, a transfer will be waiting to take you to the hotel.
After check-in, you will enjoy dinner at the hotel (with drinks included). Accommodation.
DAY 2 COVILHÃ | BELMONTE
Breakfast at the hotel. The day will be dedicated to visits and experiences. It will start with a visit and tasting at a winery, followed by lunch (with drinks included).
In the afternoon, we head to Belmonte to visit monuments and museums, such as the Olive Oil Museum and the Cabrais Castle and Pantheon. The afternoon also offers a sensory journey with a tasting of “serranos” liqueurs at the factory and a gin and tonic.
Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 3 ZÊZERE VALLEY | TOWER | COVILHÃ
Breakfast at the hotel. The last day begins with the incomparable beauty of the Zêzere Glacial Valley from its viewpoints, followed by a visit to the Poço do Inferno waterfall. Then we will visit the Zêzere Valley Interpretive Centre, the Serra da Estrela Kennel and the Viveiro das Trutas (Trout Nursery). Before lunch, we will also visit the Burel handmade fabric factory and the source of the River Zêzere at Covão d’Ametade. Lunch.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the highest point in mainland Portugal: the Serra da Estrela Tower. It allows you to contemplate the immensity of the mountain’s natural beauty, where you can taste the region’s cheeses and sausages.
Return to Covilhã. End of our services.

This tour is not physically demanding as a private driver/guide will drive you around. However, there are also visits planned to various places in the region. You’ll have to walk short distances, but we will make sure to take our time and respect your physical needs.
Note: Snow is not guaranteed and is naturally subject to weather conditions. However, the climb to the highest point is guaranteed, as long as it is authorised by the authorities.
The programme does not include skiing, but can be customised if the client desires.
