Experience the beaches and traditions of southern Portugal

We’ll leave Lisbon at 9am and head for Évora, the capital of the Alentejo region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll visit the city’s main sights: the Roman Temple, the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral, the Chapel of Bones and the University.

We will also walk through the streets of the historical centre, where you can appreciate the local handicraft shops, with cork, ceramic, and copper objects. Time for lunch.

The rest of the day will be free for you to discover the city. We suggest a gourmet wine, olive oil and cheese tasting. Accommodation in Évora.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning. In the early afternoon we’ll continue our tour to Beja, where we can admire its medieval castle with the largest tower in Portugal.

The journey continues towards the Algarve, the beautiful southern coast of the country. Along the way we’ll pass Silves Castle, Praia da Rocha in Portimão and Lagos.

Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll leave Lagos and head towards Ponta da Piedade, where we’ll have a panoramic view of the sea and the region’s cliffs. Sagres will be our next stop, so that we can visit its famous fortress.

Our route continues along the incredible cliffs to Cabo de São Vicente, the most south-westerly point in Europe.

Then it’s time to head back to Lagos, where you’ll have the chance to taste Algarvian dishes.

Rest of the day is free. We suggest watching the sunset from the beach. Accommodation in Lagos.

Breakfast at the hotel. Return to Lisbon. On the way, we’ll visit Setúbal. We’ll pass through the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park, with its incredible landscapes, and the Tróia Peninsula.
